It seems, though, that Infusionsoft/Keap did an upgrade sometime in 2018 that makes this no longer work due to the Version ID changing each time they do a new release. Have you found a workaround to that? Or, as I am seeing in Keap Help, is it necessary now to do this sort of secondary contact creation via API? Ugh.

Have you found anything around this?

It’s my understanding that it should work still. We won’t know officially until it actually gets released though.

Here’s the official statement from an email I received from Infusionsoft in September 2017:

“We realize this may impact any HTTP posts you or your clients currently have set up to post information into Infusionsoft app(s) from external sources (HTTP posts from within Campaign Builder that post to other Infusionsoft apps will continue to work).”

That last sentence has me hopeful that this will continue to work as I’ve outlined above.

The first form will be completed by a prospect or customer, so which thank you page you take them to is up to you.

It should auto-submit the second form. If this is critical to your business, you might also try looking at Zapier, which can also do something similar.

I changed the setting to make the form an entry point, which got me past one hurdle. But the form data still does not seem to pass through to a new contact record. Does the web form “submit” automatically, or do I have to do something to make it submit. It seems that the data from the HTTP Post would get into the form but that it might not submit. Thanks for any help!

Hi Roberto – unfortunately, I can’t troubleshoot without seeing all the details and while I’d love to help everyone I just don’t have the bandwidth to look at everyone’s unique set up.

What you might be able to do is contact support and see if they can walk you through the process. However, please be aware (as mentioned in the post) that this is a workaround and technically a hack so they might not be able to give specific advice about it.
